PURPOSE OF THE JOB 
Lead design, integration, and high-level development management of our Oracle ATG Commerce platform. We are looking for a seasoned ATG leader who can bridge the business requirements chasm to define and drive technical strategy, architecture, reliability, telemetry, and operational excellence. 

 
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES 

  •  Lead architecture, design, and oversee development for multiple high volume eCommerce websites (Oracle ATG) 
  • Define and drive team adoption of coding best practices, application/performance monitoring, scalability, resilience, and security 
  • Lead representation of eCommerce/digital solutions in architecture review board and design reviews 
  • Participate in feature development, drive adoption/compliance of DevOps workflow, perform code reviews and integration testing -- as required  
  • Act as point-of-contact for escalations/critical customer and system issues. Drive RCA and lead solutioning of technical issues for eCommerce sites – including code-level analysis, end-to-end environment configuration 
  • Additional duties as assigned. 
  • Working hours may extend beyond the typical workday as required. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES 
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work experience), preferably in
Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 
  • 8 years of relevant work experience in architecture, design, and development of eCommerce and J2EE applications, preferably within a retail/eCommerce environment 
  • 4 years of Java/J2EE development experience with hands on ATG and Endeca experience 
  • 3 years of hands-on experience with ATG modules, e.g. Commerce, BCC, CSC, CA, Search 
  • 3 years strong prior experience with Java, React, and/or Headless Commerce platforms 
  • 3 years strong prior experience in Performance Optimization and Monitoring (e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic, etc) 
  • 2 years of experience developing Endeca functionality for large consumer facing websites 
  • 2 years of experience leading an agile development team 
  • Knowledge of integrating between ATG and external services such as: 
  • Tax integrations (Vertex, Sabirx, etc.) 
  • Recommendations integrations (ATG Recommendations, Rich Relevance, etc.) 
  • Payment integration (PayPal, BML, Cybersource, etc.) 
  • A/B multi-variant testing tools (SiteSpect, Optimost, and/or Adobe/Omniture, etc.) 
  • Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with the following: 
  • Web development technologies (JSP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, & Tag libraries, etc.) 
  • System architecture, system sizing, tuning J2EE components 
  • Java thread and memory dumps 
  • XML/XSL/XSD 
  • Page Builder Extensions 
  • Continuous integration (CI/CD) concepts, build processes and tools (ANT, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, automated builds, automated unit tests, and continuous builds) 
  • Source code control processes, code branching / merging strategies & source code control tools (Subversion, Perforce, etc.) 
  • DevOps/CloudOps (preferably on AWS)
