Position Summary: Enterprise Sales Engineer

AVDG is seeking an experienced AV Enterprise Systems Solutions" Engineer to be part of the AVDG Enterprise Accounts Team, which allocates calculated engineering and project management resources to the enterprise clients who have displayed their commitment to enter an exclusive design/build relationship with AVDG. This includes engineering resources for both local and remote national and global projects. You will wear multiple hats in the role as design, project, field engineer, and technical expert engaging with the end customer of enterprise accounts to design smart systems touching the project in all aspects from design, materials, scope of work, ROM, deployment, QA, and commissioning to expanding to and other AV projects across the organization, while collaborating with internal and external team members to meet clients expectations. You will be working on standardization and setting expectations, but will be flexible based on clients' needs, customization.

The objective is to develop a partnership relationship with the client, understand budgetary needs, and going wider and deeper into all areas of the company to provide solutions. Building relationships in all areas of the organization and having a true understanding of the world-class smart systems and solutions AVDG can provide them. You will stay current with new technologies available that would be of added value to the clients.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Partners with clients, developing strong relationships at all levels of their organization to understand and deliver next generations AV design, engineering, and integration of system solutions to meet and exceed clients' expectations.
  • Will collaborate with the Enterprise & Operations Team members to ensure the process from the beginning through design, deployment, , installation, commissioning, and ensure the seamless delivery of our system.
  • Generates SOW or Bid documents with to ensure project description is in accordance to client desires.
  • Provides and reviews detailed project bill of material documentation required for building proposals and bid responses.
  • Specifies equipment and installation considerations regarding integration with MEP, networking and architecture.
  • Sketches system design for drafting by CAD department to ensure BOM is developed in accordance to proper operational capacity of the system.
  • Researches equipment and ensures functionality and interoperability is appropriate for use in specific systems.
  • Collaborates with Customer for advice as to requirements for all sites to ensure alignment of AV design and implementation expectations and standardization requirements Customer AV Guideline Standards, while having an agile approach depending on Customer requirements.
  • Provide AV consultative support to the Construction Design Team, Architects, General Contractor (GC) and subcontractors regarding solution implementation, troubleshooting, and configuration according to Customer AV Guideline Standards (AV Standards), but have an agile approach depending on Customer requirements.
  • Provides a consistent client experience, attends meetings with Customer, GC, AVDG Enterprise and Operations Teams to confirm documentation aligns, expectations and communication is clear.
  • Verification that all components have been provided and installed and are functioning at or beyond their specifications and according to the design intent.
  • Perform optimization of the overall system's functionality and quality including aspects of the system such as video projection alignment, audio quality, lighting, window treatment automation, and control system operation verification,
  • Document system functionality and/or physical installation deficiencies in the room's AV systems punch list and work with other supporting vendors (e.g., GC, Integrators) and associates to perform the necessary remediation and confirm satisfactory functionality.
  • Ensure AV systems are fully tested per test plan/punch list, design/build by AVDG, and approved by Customer, prior to hand-over to Customer Operations team, and confirm AVDG service contract.
  • Assists Project Management with maintaining and tracking the project labor and materials budget.

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or related field highly preferred; or equivalent combination of education, military, experience, and industry certifications accepted
  • 6+ years' experience in AV systems design, programming or troubleshooting with commercial solutions
  • Must have a thorough understanding of systems integration techniques
  • Strong computer skills with electronic drawing software (Bluebeam, Visio, AutoCAD, etc.) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Outlook
  • CTS required, CTS-D and/or CTS-I preferred,
  • Manufacturers certifications such as, Crestron DMC-E, CCNA, Q-SYS, Biamp Tesira, Zoom, Polycom, Cisco, and other AV/UC industry certifications preferred
  • Self-motivated, effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and associates

Pay Rate: $129,700.00 - $ 162,125.00/ yr depending on background and experience.
