Job Title: Product Manager, Private Brands

 

Job Summary:

As a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager, you will have a key role in the development and launch of new products. Your primary responsibility will be to gather inbound marketing and customer insights, identify segmentations, and conduct competitive analysis to ensure that the new products meet the needs and preferences of musicians and can drive revenue growth and market share.

To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record in product management, including developing and launching successful products and managing all aspects of the product development process, including budgeting, resource allocation, and project management.

In addition, you should have strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to build a business case that validates the profitability and strategic benefits of new product ideas. I the ideal candidate will posess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including development partners, marketing teams, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends related to the Musical Instrument industry.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and market trends to determine strategic opportunities for product development.
  • Define product requirements, features, and specifications based on customer and market insights.
  • Develop a business case to validate profitability and strategic benefit of the product.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to manage product development and ensure that the product is developed according to specifications and on-time.
  • Oversee third-party development partners and negotiate contracts and agreements.
  • Develop and manage product development budgets.
  • Develop launch plans and inform marketing strategy to ensure successful product launch.
  • Monitor product performance and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement.
  • Work with Store Operations team to develop industry leading sales tools, training materials, and sales collateral.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

To join our band, you'll need the following experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on the MI industry.
  • Strong understanding of product development, including product design, engineering, and manufacturing.
  • Experience in market research, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis.
  • Ability to develop business cases and financial models to support product development decisions.
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Pay Rate: $75,611 - $129,700 annualy depending on background and experience.

This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance.
