Description

Lead the visioning, roadmap, and prioritization of digital products in a fast-paced Omni-channel Retail environment.  This role will provide thought leadership, track development, and manage lifecycle of transformational software products for eCommerce retail applications, and other digital initiatives.

 

This is a hybrid position with expectation on-site in Frederick, MD 2-3 days a week.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Leads development of the vision and roadmap for multiple digital/software products.
  • Orchestrates/bridges the business and IT teams to obtain, confirm, and refine the business intent, requirements, and value.
  • Transforms business intent and requirements into well-documented, end-to-end technical product solutions and experiences that are best-in-class.
  • Owns/drives achievement of technical product objectives and business value. Includes executing scrum master duties across multiple internal and external teams for all assigned products and roadmaps.
  • Communicates status, product metrics, risks, and feedback to leadership daily/weekly as assigned.
  • Reviews product vision, roadmap, feature set, backlog, and customer feedback with leadership to refine priorities.
  • Oversees all stages of product creation including design and development
  • Coordinates with teams and leads user acceptance testing (UAT) and product demos
  • Experience leading through complex and/or competing priorities and negotiating win-win outcomes
  • Proven track record of defining end-to-end/complete user journeys & experiences; including quick mockups/prototypes
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams through conflict and successfully drive outcomes
  • Additional duties as assigned.

To join our band you will need the following experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of Product Owner experience
  • 2+ years of in-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • 2+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent oral/written and executive presentation skills a must
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
  • Experience writing user stories and following the development process through user story acceptance
  • Experience with Altlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) or similar tools
  • Skilled proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work and maintain professional demeanor while managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be well-organized
  • Comfortable working flexible hours to coordinate with multiple time zones where required.
  • Agile certification: CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP, PSPO desired
