Position Summary: Key Accounts Manager

The Key Accounts Manager will be accountable for accepting, ordering, processing and packaging orders for International Annuity Clients.  An Annuity Client is defined as a business to where the consultative sales approach of an account manager is not necessary.  Generally, this client is giving us weekly orders for commodities that are inventoried and palletized for resell. Gross Sales to these clients are greater than $2m annually. 

The Key Accounts Manager will have direct responsibility for ordering and expediting the products on the incoming purchase orders and making sure that they are ready to ship to the client based on their needs. Clear communication to the client regarding products that are backordered will be essential to providing the best service possible. 

The Key Accounts Manager will work with the leadership of GC Pro, the Store Manager, the store warehouse crew to maintain and the category management team to develop and enhance the overall business and processes supporting the business.    

The Key Accounts Manager will be responsible for communicating the orders and needs of Key Accounts to GC Pro management and keep detailed records of each PO and payment processing. 

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

Process Improvement 

  • Improve the operational systems of processing, packaging and palleting products for key accounts.
  • Strive for efficiencies in purchase order management process, procedures and system optimization to facilitate most expeditious and positive customer experience.
  • Create process in which inventory for account is accounted for and integrity of packaging is maintained.
  • Manage damaged goods and customer returns process at Rialto distribution center.

Program Management 

  • Meticulously expedite quantities and items on each purchase order.
  • Maintain filing system for Purchase Orders.
  • Coordination of shipments with 3rd party transporters, where applicable.

People Leadership 

  • Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure they adhere to strict packing guidelines.
  • Create more effective procedure for warehouse to store and protect product to reduce damages.

To join our band you’ll need the following experience:

  • International customer account management with flexibility to facilitate customer meetings in different time zones and weekends, on occasion (non-traditional workday).
  • 1-3 years prior Account Management experience with the ability to represent the company effectively and professionally in dealings with clients. 
  • Experience with international account management, demand forecasting, order processing and procurement, shipping and tracking orders across multiple distribution points in the supply chain.
  • Experience with boxing and shipping processes with extensive knowledge of various shipping methods (both domestically and internationally). 
  • With knowledge/understanding of purchasing and procurement procedures, inventory control procedures, special orders procedures. 
  • Basic proficiency using Microsoft Excel (building basic formulas and tables). 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), organizational skills, time management skills and problem-solving ability. 
  • Must be able to juggle multiple tasks at once and understand how to prioritize projects in relation to guidance and business needs.  
  • At least one year of Professional Audio-Visual equipment experience (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience within Guitar Center Retail Operations. (Preferred) 
  • With 1 year of experience using Greenscreen and Dotcom, specifically in relation to the GC sales process.  (Preferred) 

Travel Requirements: 

Regular consistent travel is not required. However, monthly visits to Rialto DC (in CA) and GC Headquarter office is necessary for ongoing customer and account management, meetings, and team collaboration

Pay Rate: $60,000-$70,000/ annually depending on background and experience.
