Specialist, Social Media –

We’re seeking an enthusiastic marketer with a passion for musical instrument gear that can help our brand(s) connect authentically with our existing and future customers across multiple social media platforms.

The Social Media Specialist/Coordinator is responsible for implementing, monitoring and reporting on the company's Organic Social Media strategy to increase brand awareness and community engagement in order to drive traffic & sales online & in-store.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Schedule and monitor posts across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Use platform native and third-party social media tools for posting, monitoring responding and reporting
  • Maintain social media content calendar, ensuring regular and consistent posting
  • Report on key social media performance KPIs by channel, content type, etc.
  • Help develop data-based point-of-view on content optimizations
  • Help develop post copy and captions
  • Respond to or flag comments, messages and mentions in a timely manner
  • Nurture and engage authentically in the musician community and culture
  • Collaborate with content, artist and marketing teams to secure creative asset delivery and accuracy
  • Recognize and develop opportunities in social media trends, tools and best practices

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist/Coordinator or similar role
  • Proficient in social media management and reporting tools
    • On-platform (Ex: Facebook, Twitter, TikTok)
    • Third-party (Ex: Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social)
  • Deep understanding of musician community and culture (from the player’s perspective)
  • Strong understanding of latest trends in musical instrument gear across product categories
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, messages and post streams simultaneously
  • Data-driven critical thinker with an eye for optimizing messaging and presentation
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required)

Pay Rate: $50,300 - $60,700/yr depending on background and experience.
