PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Sr. QA Engineer is responsible for leading daily QA activities for an IT software project or
ongoing maintenance of an existing IT system in coordination with the QA Lead, QA Manager,
and relevant project teams. This position will take direction from the Lead QA engineer and/or
QA Manager and will help facilitate QA meetings and other QA activities required to support
their project/release.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
In coordination with the QA Lead and project team (onshore and offshore), this position is
responsible for planning and execution of all QA daily activities specific to their area of focus.
These activities include executing test cases (manual and automated), managing product test
coverage, product defect management, training, and providing maintenance support activity
relevant to products they release to production.
● Create detailed test cases and complete test case reviews for other team members.
● Orchestrate resources and tasks leveraging an on-shore / off-shore QA model. This may
include leading off hours conference calls and other tasks related to coordination of
off-shore resources.
● Maintain a high level of situational awareness regarding all activities relevant to meeting
project schedules, production system service levels, and providing regular status
updates to management and relevant stakeholders.
● Ensures test environment(s) availability and functional parity/equivalence with the
production system environment.
● Identify, propose, and assist in implementation of appropriate software QA and SDLC
best practices appropriate for the business and development model.
● Additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES
● Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 years relevant work experience) is required, preferably in
Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
● 7 years of software quality assurance and/or software development experience (in
addition to degree or years of previous experience), preferably related to QA efforts for
eCommerce, ERP and Supply Chain systems (such as JDA and Microsoft Dynamics AX)
● 5 years of experience creating detailed test plans/test cases that also cover all end to
end testing
● 5 years of experience working on ecommerce web and mobile platforms. (ATG
experience a plus)
● 5 years of experience (or proficiency) with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, MS
Project, Visio, etc.).
● 5 years of experience with quality assurance methodologies including functional testing,
test automation, performance testing and continuous testing.
● 5 years of experience working with an on shore / off shore model
● 5 years of experience with industry leading bug and test case management systems
(JIRA, SPIRA, QuickBase, HP Quality Center, ProjectPlanner, etc.).
● Intermediate proficiency creating and executing SQL queries.
● 5 years of experience with industry standard SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall,
Agile/Scrum
● Experience with Selenium and other modern automation frameworks like Cypress,
Cucumber, Robot
● Working knowledge of at least one programming language like Javascript, Java or
Python
