Position Summary: Merchandising Technology Specialist

The purpose of this job is to maintain day-to-day operations of technical systems -- both hardware and software -- used to enhance in-store merchandising experiences and processes as well as provide support to the users of these systems.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Using any combination of phone, email, instant messaging or ticketing system, provide technical support to store associates and internal team members for various technical systems used in conjunction with: in-store printed price tags, customer-facing software demonstration computers (Apple), in-store audio players, Microsoft Access database reporting tools, in-store product displays, others as the business requires
  • Document and keep up-to-date, detailed records of all support needs to: track status, establish notes for resolution and identify trends
  • Assemble, test and deploy software update packages to in-store demonstration computers (Apple) through various deployment methods
  • Create, update, test and implement both new artwork, and template design logic into a store-printed price tag system (AccessVia) to support promotional campaigns
  • Maintain Microsoft Access database by updating tables, running and creating reports, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Assemble and maintain support documentation including manuals, troubleshooting, FAQ's, etc. and upload/update to internal communication website (Sharepoint 365) written in a way a non-technical user can clearly understand
  • Assist with diagnostics and repair of Apple computers including iMac, MacBook Pro and Mac mini as needed
  • Research and present new ideas and improvements for systems and processes
  • Participate in regularly scheduled virtual team meetings
  • Additional duties as assigned

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Hold one or more Apple certifications: ACSC, ACTC, ACiT, ACMT or from a remote device management platform such as Jamf Pro, SCCM, AirWatch, etc
  • 2 years of direct customer service experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with the MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Skilled proficiency with Apple macOS
  • Intermediate proficiency with PC operating systems
  • Intermediate proficiency with operating and troubleshooting various computer peripherals such as printers, external storage devices, audio interfaces and MIDI controllers
  • Novice proficiency with 1 or more popular programming language (i.e. Swift, AppleScript, Visual Basic, JavaScript)
  • Novice proficiency with database concepts/principles such as SQL, relational databases, report creation, etc
  • Novice proficiency of the Adobe Creative suite (In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel (V-lookups, formulas, filtering, sorting, formatting)
  • Skilled proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and solving complex problems
  • Novice proficiency with computer networking and device management

Pay Rate: $25.00- $29.00/hr depending on background and experience.
