Position Summary: Sr. Specialist, Vendor Partnerships

As Sr. Specialist, Vendor Partnerships, will play a lead role supporting the category management team to drive sales by executing vendor income agreements that are designed to increase sales, support category margins, and grow vendor brands with marketing support in the sales and collection of vendor income. This begins by supporting category managers with annualized targets during the budget cycle and continues throughout the year by executing tactics and deal agreements related to point-of-sale rebates, new store discounts, price protection deals and ensuring finance teams are accruing and deducting for those deals.    

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Executes monthly process to collect, calculate and process vendor income transactions including but not limited to Scanbacks, Price Protection and New Store discounts in MS Access database tool
  • Will lead reporting projects, publishing a variety of Forecasting, Budgeting, and Vendor Income reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Provide monthly accrual files and reconciles transactions and discrepancies with Finance and Accounts Payable
  • Utilizes MS Office tools to track and enter deals, capture transactions, and provide transactional level detail
  • Mentors other team members to assist with training, business process, creating new MS office tools, coaching, and escalating issues for resolution.
  • Support the category management team (buyers) with training and business process to submit their agreements into system databases so that transactions can be calculated and then processed for payment
  • Facilitate meeting discussions with category management teams to assist in closing the gaps for any shortfalls or maximizing opportunities to capitalize on new product launches
  • Will ensure monthly tactics are entered, executed, validated for accuracy, accrued and deducted in alignment with due dates and to ensure write-offs are minimized.
  • Performs analytics on existing tactics to influence category management decision making into future tactics
  • Manage and maintain strong merchants and vendor relationships
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work experience), preferably in Marketing, Business Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in advertising or marketing or business (in addition to degree or years of previous experience), preferably with experience in social media/community or digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with finance, accounting, and marketing tactics and terminology

Pay Rate: $29.30- $38.80 / hourly depending on background and experience.
