Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Technical Program Manager to join our team. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of complex technical programs from initiation to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and stakeholders, to drive alignment, manage risks, and ensure the timely and efficient execution of projects. Your strong technical background, leadership skills, and program management expertise will be crucial in driving the success of our organization's technical initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Program Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute program strategies aligned with organizational goals. Define program objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria. Create comprehensive program plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and dependencies.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster effective collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, quality assurance, and stakeholders. Ensure alignment on program goals, priorities, and dependencies.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and direction to engineering teams. Evaluate technical feasibility, risks, and trade-offs to inform program decisions. Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure adherence to technical standards and best practices.
Program Execution and Delivery: Drive the end-to-end execution of complex technical programs. Monitor program progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure timely resolution of issues and dependencies. Manage program scope, budget, and resources to deliver high-quality results.
Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and partners. Communicate program status, risks, and mitigation plans effectively. Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on program milestones and achievements.
Risk and Change Management: Identify and assess program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risk mitigation activities. Anticipate and manage program changes, scope creep, and conflicting priorities. Proactively communicate impacts and drive decision-making to minimize disruptions.
Program Governance: Establish program governance mechanisms, including regular program reviews, status reporting, and metrics tracking. Ensure compliance with relevant policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance program management methodologies, tools, and practices. Share best practices and lessons learned across the organization. Mentor and guide junior program managers or team members as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience (7+ years) as a Technical Program Manager, leading complex technical programs in an Agile environment.
Strong technical background, with a solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), cloud technologies, and relevant engineering concepts.
Excellent program management skills, including program planning, execution, and delivery. Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project) is required.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams. Strong stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
Strategic mindset and the ability to think critically and make decisions in complex and ambiguous situations.
Proven experience in risk management, change management, and conflict resolution.
PMP, PgMP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Experience in industries such as software development, technology, or IT services is preferred.

Pay Rate: $103,011 - $119,000 /yr depending on background and experience.
