Role
We are looking for a Copywriter that doesn’t think outside the box because he or she was never in the box. A writer with a love of words – big ones and small ones., who puts them together for amazing results. A writer whose second-nature is to be collaborative and partner with Art Directors, Designers, or Strategists to develop unique and engaging content across all touch points. Someone who will concept smart and interesting ideas, crafting them into beautiful copy across a variety of projects – longform and short.
Your work lives in several forms: long copy (for our Product Detail Pages), as well as precision product copy (for e-comm and unique local descriptions). A solid understanding of and writing for SEO is key.
You will also aid in the development of our Guidelines, ensuring that copy is consistent, mistake-free and on point. Be ready, willing and eager to disrupt the status-quo. That’s who we are.
Responsibilities
Partner with Technical SEO, Creative Directors, Category Managers to concept integrated campaigns
Bring digital and social expertise that provide insights that make your work relevant, fresh and unique.
Think strategically and marry that thinking to creative ideas.
Listen, understand and implement direction from senior SEOs, Account Management and our partners in other departments during each round of revisions, through completion of project.
Exercise grit, hustle and attention to detail in all you do.
Be resilient, flexible and solution-oriented navigating the gauntlet of the creative process.
Rationalize, verbalize and present creative concepts to internal and external audiences.
Assist with writing presentation materials as needed.
Effectively manage your time across multiple projects to ensure deadlines and schedules are met.
Be a pop cultural enthusiast and mindful of industry trends.
Writing for the web: Product Landing Pages, Product Detail Pages, Product Copy, Marketing messaging (headlines & body copy)
Proofing your work thoroughly before it goes to our proofing tools and ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Qualifications
2-3 years of related experience with writing or creative writing
BA or BS Degree in writing, communications, journalism, related discipline or equivalent experience
Gifted with words and a fluency with language
A strong working knowledge of musical instruments
A passion for, and understanding of, contemporary marketing and design
Expertise in writing in the voice of the GC brand
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to confidently present ideas

Pay Rate: $60,300 - $70,000/yr depending on background and experience.
