Position Summary: Commercial Programmer

The Control System Programmer is be responsible for planning, developing, testing and implementing control system code, and other equipment-related configurations. This individual would also perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations. The Control
System Programmer will be the technical liaison to tech ops, Sales and client for all programming related inquiries.

 

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Be the final quality control for all rack fabrication, installation and programming of systems
  • Interface & maintain ongoing dialogue with project management and clients as to project timelines, challenges, and training
  • Ensure well executed system installation through detailed field commissioning, including but not limited to:
  • Control system design and Code deployment
  • IP and network documentation
  • Punch lists and scope management
  • Identify and confirm all cabling and hardware is installed and functioning correctly
  • Direct technical teams on installation challenges
  • Project manager liaison for programming inquires
  • Assist and perform ongoing technical assessment and support for tech ops during integration, install, & commissioning
  • Meet with vendors/prospective vendors to help evaluate products
  • Writing and commissioning digital signal processing programming
  • Other duties assigned as needed

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • BS/BA - computer science, computer systems engineering, or related field
  • At least 2 years of recent experience as Crestron or AMX Programmer
  • Keen Crestron or AMX programmer
  • Keen ability to install, troubleshoot and maintain Crestron & AMX electronic systems
  • Experience installing and testing code remotely and on site
  • Experience working with clients in a professional manner
  • Must be able to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Highly skilled in oral and written communication – clear, direct, detailed.
  • Independent work ethic highly motivated to getting a job done right
  • Must have an interest and aptitude for wiring, hook-up and installation techniques and/or CTS-I preferred
