Position Summary: Analyst, Customer Data Analytics

The purpose of this job is to utilize data manipulation and data mining capabilities to support the analysis and reporting needs of the Customer Data and Analytics program, including analyzing detailed customer data to develop powerful insights that will drive the effectiveness of marketing strategies.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Conduct complex database research projects, direct mail list generation, marketing tent pole analysis, data simulations and advanced data mining on large transactional databases and customer data platforms.
  • Develop recommendations, tactics and future testing based on analyses
  • Extract data from the company's CDP (Customer Data Platform) and core business intelligence databases using SQL or other methods. Perform analysis that results in actionable business insight, in support of key business initiatives or inquiries
  • Support all analysis activities that fall under the CRM & CDA group, which may include campaign analysis ROAS, break-even analysis, developing predictive models, determining effectiveness of pilots and promotions, developing dashboards for executive management
  • Present data in a visual format such as Tableau or other similar tools in a clear manner so that communication to stakeholders is effective and impactful.
  • Effectively communicate key metrics to the Management Team
  • Identify key opportunities to grow the business
  • Review RFM, list selection criteria, file scoring and segmentation
  • Review and develop customer database structure, query logic and data validation
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with vendors and other internal clients
  • Additional duties as assigned

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work experience), preferably in Math, Engineering, Statistics, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant business or marketing experience (in addition to degree or years of previous experience) with an emphasis in data manipulation and marketing analytics
  • Skilled proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.), preferably with the ability to write macros
  • Understanding of SQL
  • Understanding of data visualization tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, Adobe Analytics, etc.
  • Intermediate understanding of programming languages such as Python, R/SAS, etc.

Pay Rate: $70,200- $90,000/yr depending on background and experience.
