Position Summary: Lead Residential Installer- Shades

The Lead Window Treatments Technician is primarily responsible for installation and measurements of new window treatments, as well as the service of existing window treatments. Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to receiving/ pick up of materials, installation of product so it is secure, level, and functioning properly, and measurements for new installations. Experience with window treatments and or carpentry skills a must. Experience with Lutron, Rollease Acmeda, and Mechoshade a plus.

  • Measuring for new window treatments
  • Installation of window treatments
  • Service of existing window treatments
  • Site walks for potential new projects
  • Connection/termination of low-voltage wiring
  • Programming of shades (when needed)
  • Communication of critical issues in a timely manner
  • Provide daily status reports and field notes to Project Manager
  • Other duties as required or assigned by company management

join our band, you'll need the following experience: 

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be willing to work in team environment.
  • Minimum of 2-year work experience in basic residential house construction with low-voltage wiring, AV, audio, or related industry; or degree from a technical institution, or college studying smart homes, low-voltage wiring, A/V, or related field along with 1-year work experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed architectural drawings and bid specs.
  • OSHA 10 certification is desired but not required.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and flexibility to change gears and solve problems.
  • Works with a sense of urgency and focused effort on daily workflow and project requirements.
  • Self-managed and able to work in varied environments as required.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 100 feet.
  • Operate a motor vehicle with a valid, State-issued, driver license.
  • Aptitude for understanding and assisting others with technology and construction

 Travel Requirements:

  • Travel may be required dependent on business needs
