Job Title: Specialist, Collections
The purpose of this job is to collect outstanding customer balances.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
- Work with monthly aging report focusing on collections of outstanding balances
- Evaluating creditworthiness of new customers using credit bureau software and making decisions on new order requests
- Processing and referring delinquent accounts to third party collection agency
- Using multiple working Excel spreadsheets to keep records and log progress for self, manager, and peer review
- Work with the sales staff at our contact center to resolve customer accounting issues Research billing issues related to customer accounts
- Additional duties as assigned.
To join our band, you'll need the following experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Entry level, zero years of experience
- Novice understanding of basic accounting principles
- Novice understanding of online retail transactions
- Novice knowledge and familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
