PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The purpose of this job is to work with AR and call center staff regarding issues related to customer accounts. Bill and collection of advertorial billings.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Work with the sales staff at our Contact Center to resolve customer accounting issues
  • Work with other departments to resolve various issues related to tax, marketing, accounting, etc.
  • Work refunds, billing, gift card, and tax issues related to customer accounts.
  • Billing and receiving payments, monthly reconciliation of vendor advertorial ads for GC, MF, and WWBW.
  • Daily bank deposits and returned checks
  • Additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work experience)
  • 2 years of relevant work experience (in addition to degree or years of previous experience), preferably with experience working in Account Receivable.
  • Novice understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Novice understanding of online retail transactions
  • Novice knowledge and familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Analytical Skills: Able to explore information, data, and reports, and other items in order to identify issues and extract meaningful insights, which can be used to better understand and improve business performance.
  • Collaboration: Able to develop cooperation and teamwork while participating in cross-functional groups, working toward solutions which generally benefit all involved parties. Able to build relationships with others by offering help and providing suggestions for improvement.
  • Customer Focus: Able to understand and focus on the customer experience when designing and executing services and processes. Acts with customer in mind, keeping focus on meeting expectations and requirements of all customers.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $23.00/hr depending on background and experience.
