Position Summary:

As a Learning & Development Training Manager, you will lead the training function in the Kansas City region, overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive learning programs primarily to enhance the skills and capabilities of Associates knowledge of musical instruments. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership, and a deep understanding of adult learning principles to drive organizational growth and development.

 

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

Training Program Management:

  • Develop and execute a strategic learning and development plan aligned with organizational goals in concert with Organization Development leadership and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of training programs across area of responsibility, both in-person and virtual.
  • Ensure training programs address skill gaps and contribute to Associate and organizational success.
  • Engage in regular discussions regarding high potential talent.
  • This position is accountable for overseeing the sales training of newly hired personnel at our in-person sales center.

 

Business Needs Analysis:

  • Conduct regular needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements throughout the Sales Center and across the organization.
  • Analyze performance data to inform training initiatives.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with department heads, managers, and HRBPs to understand business needs and align training programs with organizational objectives.
  • Communicate the value of learning and development initiatives to all stakeholders.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field; or four years of related experience.
  • Experience training sales teams in retail environment
  • Proven experience in learning and development, with a focus on training program management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning technologies.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align training initiatives with business goals.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
    • Relevant certifications in training and development.
    • Experience in a leadership role within a corporate training environment.
    • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in learning and development.
