Job Description
Maintain the safety, security, growth, and profitability of the DC by assisting personnel in the day-to-day functions of the operation. Train and direct employees to make certain that facility Loss Prevention & Safety objectives are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Open/Close the building each day including maintaining building alarms, badge access systems and CCTV surveillance equipment.
- Conduct various safety related training, including orientations, as well as equipment safety training.
- Ensure CTPAT guidelines and regulations are within compliance.
- Investigate workplace accident and injuries to determine root cause analysis.
- Conduct internal and external safety and security patrols/audits.
- Monitor guard shack activity/incidents.
- Drive the department for optimum productivity and coaching Loss Prevention & Safety Clerk while maintaining high standards for quality.
- Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

- Ability to gather information, to critically evaluate options, seeking alternative perspectives to identify root causes & develop solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
- Ability to effectively give and receive coaching.
- Must be detail-oriented and work well with minimum supervision.
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team and to encourage others to achieve department goals.
- Must be reliable; able to maintain an excellent attendance record.
- Must be Guitar Center certified to operate powered equipment or be willing and able to satisfy certification process.
- Must be willing to obtain First Responder Certification through American Red Cross.
- Must have a positive attitude and demonstrate support for departmental initiatives and company goals.
