Job Description
The Coordinator, Exceptions, also known as No-Read, In conjunction with the Sorter Operator, monitors diverted cases being conveyed in shipping, researches cases that fail to divert down print apply assigned lanes. Resolves label issues for all cases that have mis-diverted. Assists shipping department in accurately loading problematic cases after destination resolution is determined. Covers sorter and shipping outbound lanes as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Performs various administrative responsibilities related to research of Outbound shipping cases
- Researches and resolves problematic outbound shipping cases in need of relabeling, research or loading onto outbound trailers
- Researches and prints- reprinted labels as needed
- Ensures accuracy of label, label placement on cases as well as ensures proper scanning of labels when placing cases into outbound trailers
- Assists Sorter operator in clearing jams, communicating with Operations Supervisors, leads, and loaders.
- Assists shipping loaders in clearing jams on the outbound shipping lanes, may be assigned to cover shipping outbound lanes in loading
- Ensures abort lane is cleared daily, and cases in need of research are resolved and loaded on respective route trailers
- Proficiently uses PKMS, RF, Excel, and at times various other support systems to accomplish their requirements
- Maintains a safe work area and adheres to Company Safety and housekeeping procedures
- Additional job responsibilities as assigned
ESSENTIAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
Mental Functions:
- The incumbent performs the required tasks independently. The incumbent may perform duties in the areas of technical support, design and analysis, and can be required to make recommendations. The person holding such a position may also exercise supervisory responsibilities, but not on a regular and ongoing basis. Work is performed under the general supervision of an immediate supervisor, who reviews the completed work in order to assess the degree of judgment and compliance with standards.
Physical Functions:
- Lifting: 40 % of time (team lift as needed)

EQUIPMENT USED
- Basic office equipment such as a computer, copier, printer, and telephone.
- Standard warehouse machinery and equipment as well as personal protection equipment such as closed shoes, gloves (provided and recommended, but not required), and harnesses (provided – required depending on type of powered equipment).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Warehouse environment:
- Hot conditions during summer months and cold conditions in the winter months.
- Noise level varies and can be loud
- Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts and equipment
- Very fast-paced environment
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
- Novice proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Novice proficiency with standard business applications such as the internet and email with the aptitude to learn systems used in an automated warehouse environment (PKMS, Smart Info, etc.).
- Novice knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, spreadsheet creation, and other office procedures and terminology.

Payrate: $19.25/hour
$500 Sign-On Bonus
