Big things are happening at The Guitar Center Company, and we’re thrilled to share a major step forward in our mission to make our music education programs more inspiring, innovative, and accessible than ever before.
We're proud to welcome two powerhouse leaders to our Lessons organization: John Bianchette, VP of Music Education, and Dave Kushner, Sr. Director of Music Education Experience. These transformative hires signal a bold new chapter as we focus on our Lessons business using next-generation curriculum, cutting-edge technology, and unmatched student and instructor experiences across Guitar Center and Music & Arts locations.
John Bianchette joins us with a rich background in education strategy, instructional design, and team leadership. With over 13 years at Mathnasium, including time as Vice President of Education and Training, John led global initiatives that transformed how learning was delivered to over 1,200 centers across 11 countries.
What John brings in education, Dave Kushner brings in music. From Grammy-winning rock star to educational innovator, Dave’s creativity and energy is impossible to miss. As a founding member of Velvet Revolver, he performed alongside icons like Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Chester Bennington. After the band’s global success, Dave transitioned into TV and film, composing for shows like Sons of Anarchy, F is for Family, and American Grit. Today, Dave is channeling that experience into educating future musicians — creating digital learning content and launching a series of online guitar masterclasses that’s reached students worldwide.
John and Dave will work together to transform how students and instructors connect — developing engaging, accessible, and forward-thinking educational experiences that inspire the next generation of musicians.
We're investing in the future of music education, and that means building teams led by innovators, educators, and artists who believe in the power of music to change lives.
We’re building something special here and we’re always looking for people who want to be part of it. Explore our open roles for your next opportunity!
